Tutorial ChestPartnerManagement_01
Here you can check your Partner's abilities or swap out their weapons.
Tutorial CombatStatus_01
Being discovered by an enemy begins combat, causing actions such as sprinting and dodging to begin costing stamina. Enemies that see you will also appear as red icons on the mini-map.
Tutorial CombinationSlash_01
Extremely powerful weapon attacks made in conjunction with your Partner that consume Combo SP. Execute by holding {Act_ShiftModifier} and pressing {Act_CombinationSlashHold}. Combination Skills vary depending on your Partner.
Tutorial CombinationSlash_02
An icon will light up when you have enough Combo SP to perform a Combination Skill. Combo SP can be accrued by attacking enemies.
Tutorial CombinationSlash_03
Combination Skills deal significant damage against elite and boss enemies.
Tutorial CombinationSlash_04
You can view the range of Combination Skills that activate on your position by holding down {Act_CombinationSlashHold}. You can also cancel activation by releasing {Act_ShiftModifier} while the indicator is displayed.
Tutorial ConsumedItems_01
Items that can be used during quests to bestow a variety of effects. Press {Act_ItemBelt_Active_Left} / {Act_ItemBelt_Active_Up} / {Act_ItemBelt_Active_Right} to use the consumable item assigned to that input. Press and hold {Act_ItemBelt_Active_Left} / {Act_ItemBelt_Active_Up} / {Act_ItemBelt_Active_Right} to change the assigned item.
Tutorial Darkness_01
Reduces vision temporarily. Can be cured and prevented with eye drops.
Tutorial Database_01
Examining the book in your room provides access to the database. From the database, you can find information on items you've obtained and enemies you've fought.
Tutorial Database_02
Examining points of interest around the world marked with a magnifying glass icon will add topics to the world database. Finding enough of these entries will net you rewards from the Adventurer's Association.
Tutorial DeathGameMode_02
In multiplayer, Death Game Mode players can only matchmake with other Death Game Mode players.
Tutorial Demo_AccomplishedQuests_01
From the Main Terminal, you can play through previous quests that you've completed. By repeating your experience, you're able to hunt for quest-specific drops and rewatch story cutscenes. *In the trial version Iori's Request, Within the Shadows, The Violet Fencer I, and The Violet Fencer II can be replayed.
Tutorial DestinationMarkers_01
Markers indicate points of interest you should visit during quests or while visiting towns. They can be displayed on both the mini-map and full map using <img id="TI_DestinationMarkers"/>.
Tutorial DifficultyAndItemDrop_01
Weapons dropped by enemies and treasure chests are more likely to have a higher rating at higher difficulty levels. You'll also earn more experience, so if you want to grow stronger more quickly, try increasing the difficulty. Note: You can change the difficulty from the Settings tab in the Main Menu while in town.
Tutorial DodgeSlash_01
A slash technique that deals high damage. Pressing {Act_SlashTrigger} within a set time after a perfect dodge will trigger a follow-up attack by your Partner. Enemies hit by a Dodge Slash will also be greatly staggered.
Tutorial DodgeSlash_02
Follow the action button guide to time your Dodge Slash correctly.
Tutorial DungeonMap_01
A dungeon's map is gradually revealed as you make your way through its winding corridors. Waypoints are not displayed in dungeons, so it's crucial to keep track of where you've been and what ground you have yet to cover.
Tutorial DungeonRandomdungeon_01
Dungeons function as mazes, their corridors shifting each time you start a quest. While exploring each corridor will allow you to obtain items from chests, this can also be quite risky. Deciding whether to prioritize exploration or reach the next Safe Area is paramount while in a dungeon.
Tutorial DungeonRandomdungeon_02
However, you cannot teleport in safe areas—you can only head back to town.
Tutorial EliteEnemy_01
Monsters of a higher caliber than common mobs. Even a single elite enemy poses a significant threat. Turn and run from one and it will chase you down relentlessly.
Tutorial EliteEnemy_02
Elite enemies are represented on the mini-map with the icon shown above. When an Elite becomes aware of your presence, an alert effect will display across the screen to signal that you've been discovered.
Tutorial EnemyCursor_01
A cursor will appear above enemies when you are locked onto them. It also displays the danger the target represents to you—the more the cursor shines, the larger the difference between the enemy's ATK and your DEF.
Tutorial EnemyLevel_01
Enemy levels scale with yours—up to a certain point. To raise this limit, you'll need to increase your Cardinal Rank.
Tutorial EnemyLevel_02
Certain quests—ones that raise your Cardinal Rank or offer valuable rewards—feature enemies that don't scale to your level. If you find yourself outmatched, return to town to allocate your Growth Points or enhance your weapons.
